a virtual tour of our new house

Do you remember what this house looked like before the renovations?  To truly appreciate how wonderful it looks now, you really need to be reminded of it's prior condition.  It was quite something.

And now, our beautiful, fully renovated house.  (No pictures of the kitchen yet, because we're still waiting for the lower cabinets and countertops to be built.  Hopefully they'll be in this weekend.  Maybe!)

Isn't it wonderful?

We are so blessed to be living here!  This is by far the biggest place we have lived, and we're in Africa!  And to be living in a house that we helped to renovate, not on our own bill?  What a treat!  We're mostly settled in now, but still need to build shelves in our linen closet before we can really put everything away.  But we're moved enough that my parents stayed here with us for two weeks and we managed just fine!  A few minor plumbing issues, and some building of shelves, but nothing too major.

I will post before and after photos of our kitchen once it's finally done and there actually are after photos!
