Tonight we had planned on having Micah's little friend Zonathan and his family over, to celebrate Micah's birthday with us. Zonathan is one-and-a-half and really Micah's only African friend. It turns out that Zonathan's family had to cancel on our supper invitation, because he is sick. Poor little Zonathan has malaria and pink-eye! So instead of having them here tonight, after supper we took Micah's cake and went to visit them briefly and pray for Zonathan. His parents say he is doing a little better than yesterday, but he still is quite sick.
Please, please take a minute to pray for little Zonathan.
Pray:
-that his fever will drop (his temperature was about 40C/104F when we were there)
-pray that God will heal him of malaria
-pray for wisdom for his parents in knowing how to care for him
-pray that he will continue to drink and become better hydrated, and begin to eat again
-pray that he will grow in strength and that his body will continue to fight these illnesses
