4 cups white flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
8 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 egg
milk to the 2 cup line
1/2 cup margarine
lots of brown sugar :)
cinnamon, to sprinkle
Mix dry ingredients. Add margarine and blend until it’s a fine crumble (using a pastry blender or two butter knives). In a measuring cup stir one egg, then add milk to the 2 cup line. Add milk and egg to the dry ingredients. Stir gently, then dump onto a floured surface. Knead approximately 10 times. If it’s too moist, add a bit more flour. Roll out into a large rectangle. Smother with margarine, cover with brown sugar, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll up, into a long log. Cut into buns, about 1" wide, each. Place in a 9x13" pan.
Bake at 425 F for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
*In the photo above, notice my Pampered Chef 9x13 stoneware baking pan, and mini-server... the stoneware does such a good job of cooking the cinnamon buns (and everything else) evenly!
Or Cinnamon Buns for Hungry People who aren't cheaters. :o)
