with eyes wide open

Halle is doing well.  Feeding better and better.  We're working on getting her IV and feeding tube removed, so that we can be ready to bring her home.  (The feeding tube was just to give me a little break from breastfeeding at night, without giving her bottles, but we have to stop using it for 48 hours before she can come home.)

I'm so sick of having her in the NICU, driving back and forth constantly, and feeling like I have little-to-no say in her care.  It's so not right to go home at night and leave your baby.  This is not how it's supposed to be.  Hoping that will all change soon.  No real guess on when she'll come home.  Sometime in the next 2-10 days...

Off to bed.
