his "big boy bed"

Today we got Micah's "big boy bed" all set up and ready for use.  He was so incredibly excited.  Stew finished it just before nap time, so when Micah climbed up on the bed we immediately tucked him in for his nap.  And amazingly he calmed down enough to fall asleep!

we also are taking away his fleece baby blanket, so the baby can use it (if it's a boy), but he really loves the quilt his Great Grandma K made him!

Micah's been sleeping on a twin mattress on the floor for a few weeks now to help ease the transition.  I wanted to get him out of the playpen and adjusted to a big bed in plenty of time before the baby comes.  Now we're going to set up the playpen again with the bassinet for the baby later on today, and I think that with his excitement about his special big boy bed, he won't even mind that the playpen isn't his.  Or so I am hoping!
