we have a kitchen counter!

As of Tuesday morning, we have a kitchen counter!  It is beautiful.  It is new.  It is pretty.  It keeps my pot and pans and tupperware off the floor and a little less dusty.  It keeps my back from aching while chopping, mixing, prepping.  And my little boy can't help himself to whatever is on top, because it is proper counter-top height!  Woohoo!

 I don't even care that it isn't painted yet!

 

Still waiting on the other kitchen counter, but I'm not holding my breath!  Just happy to have at least half my kitchen installed and usable.

    From this picture it looks like something you'd pay a lot of money for at Home Depot - "distressed cabinets". Okay so they might be extremely distressed but just go with it. . .
