now these? they were looking pretty good!
we picked the darker upside-down one; I made Stew touch him to make sure he was still cold
he weighed in at about a kilo and a half
there was a guy there who filleted it for us - for about 50 cents
he very nicely filleted it, and then chopped off the head and guts and gave them to us as well. Isn't that nice?!
this guy in black was at a stand next to us, and he had made a little fly swatter with a plastic bag on a stick. very clever.
the deed is done! that's our fish in the bag - head and all!
at home, all seasoned
ready for cooking!
making the buerre blanc
the delicious finished product! and, er, no, we didn't eat any vegetables... we tried to find green beans, but there weren't any at the market when we went, and we didn't have a back-up plan... so oh well!

the head is the best part! (or so they tell me)
ReplyDeleteSo, is fish head soup on the menu tonight? Yum Yum!?
