Yesterday I went back to the hospital for my follow-up ultrasound, just to check that everything was still normal, and that my body was still not preparing for labour.
Well, the news just keeps getting better and better.
Last time I was there, the specialist told me that my body has a lot of work to do before it's ready to have a baby. This time, three weeks later, the news is the same. Still no progress towards labour -- which is again great news.
Last time they told me that I was now considered to have a low-risk pregnancy. This time, the specialist told me that he considers me to have no risk for preterm labour!
Last time they gave us good news, but talked about the fact that my uterus is still bicornuate - that we would still have to wait and see how things progress with the baby. This time, the ultrasound specialist told me that he saw no indication (not even a trace) that would lead him to believe my uterus is bicornuate!!!! I truly believe it's a miracle!!
(The ultrasound tech also told us that the baby looks healthy, and has long legs! The baby's feemer is currently 4.24cm long!)
Please join us in praising God for the way He has so abundantly provided and taken care of me and of our baby. Thank you, dear Jesus! And thank you, dear friends, for upholding us in prayer during this trying and stressful time. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
Feeling very blessed,
Charisa
(at 23 weeks pregnant)
YAY! Praising Jesus with you and can't wait to meet my niece or nephew!
ReplyDeleteWe are so very, very thankful for this great news!
ReplyDeleteAwesome news! My oldest son also had a very long femur (100th percentile) and he sure gave me some good kicks towards the end:) He was actually bowlegged until he was 2 because he was so scrunched up in utero. So happy and thankful for the news you have been receiving!
