1) you can no longer sleep through the night because:
-- you have to get up and pee at least once per night
-- you are uncomfortable in every one of the sleeping positions that you can now sleep in
-- you have intensely realistic, vivid dreams EVERY night
-- when you wake up to pee, you also realize that you are desperately thirsty and must locate (and polish off) that glass of water that is somewhere near your bed
2) at 9:30pm decide that you want--no NEED--to have Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup--RIGHT NOW (and thus end up sitting in bed eating soup directly out of the pot, burning your tongue because you are so desperate)
3) after working only seven hours at an office job, you decide that you desperately need a post-supper nap (before watching some Corner Gas on dvd)
4) you pack not only your lunch, but also 2-3 snacks to survive a day at work
5) you realize only 10 minutes into a walk or drive (en route to anywhere) just how badly you need to use the washroom
6) you frequently tell yourself, “mmm, baby likes chocolate milk” or “mmm, baby likes popcorn” or “mmm, baby likes ______” (fill in the blank with whatever you are currently eating that is possibly not the healthiest option) to convince yourself that whatever you are eating is a wise choice
7) brushing your teeth before eating breakfast could very well mean talking to ralph on the big white telephone
So, come on ladies, what are some of your “you know you are pregnant when...” scenarios? Leave a comment!
You know you are pregnant when you crave fruits and vegetables.

ReplyDeletehaha. Candice, honestly being pregnant has been great! I love it, and it's actually been really good. Other than being tired, I've felt really good. There are certainly weird quirks about being pregnant (like cravings!), but in the end I know it will all be SO WORTH IT to have baby join our family. Look forward to it! And the best part, is thinking/reading/learning/seeing the miracle that's taking place right inside of ME! It's amazing how God works to knit our bodies together.
ReplyDelete...when you can't paint your own toe nails...because you can't reach them!
